Anne Townend-Duffey

Anne Townend-Duffey v2Anne has been practicing and living a yogic path since 1993. She has a Masters in Clinical Psychology , is certified in Raja Yoga through Frog Pond Yoga Centre, Princeton MA.(2003) 100 Hr. Chakra Subtle Body certification ( Frog Pond Yoga 2004) and certified in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan through Ram Das Ashram, Millis, MA. June 2016.

She has advanced training in meditation, chakra philosophy and ayurvedic wellness principles for healthy living. Anne teaches all levels of yoga from gentle to vigorous with specialties in Vinyasa flow, Yin Yoga and Kundalini Yoga and is passionate about offering Vibrant Health courses to accelerate students’ conscious wellness and intuitive guidance.

Anne brings a sense of lightheartedness and humor to her teaching, inviting a relaxed, self compassionate approach while exploring the depths and many practical benefits of yoga.

Elizabeth Hughes

Elizabeth Hughes 150wAfter 20 years of being a student of yoga study and practice Elizabeth received her teacher's certification in Jan. 2014  from Frog Pond Yoga Centre, Princeton, MA.

Elizabeth infuses her teaching with the philosophy of yoga, meditation and eclectic spiritual study with conscious movement through asana. In her class, students will learn to connect with the breath more deeply through movement and stillness. She invites an expansion of awareness around the body, mind and spirit that can be taken with her student, 'off the mat' and into their daily lives.

Her intention is to share her experience and love of yoga with the hope of encouraging others on their journeys.

Amrita Kaur

Amrita KaurAmrita is certified through the Kundalini Research Institute to teach Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, as well as Conscious Pregnancy.

Finding real community in Kundalini Yoga, Amrita has attended 3HO’s events for the several years, managing teams and growing each year. She has also studied from master teachers Tej and Harijiwan, and was a weekly sadhana leader at Yoga West and the Ra Ma Institute for Applied Yogic Science & Technology.

Amrita has taught Kundalini Yoga for medical research with the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine, as well as at the Guru Ram Das Ashram, the Great Bay Music Festival and Blue Moon, at Peace Yoga in DTLA, and at women’s recovery homes in Los Angeles.

Mandeep Kaur Khalsa

Mandeep Kaur Khalsa 2Mandeep Kaur Khalsa has been a student of Kundalini Yoga since 2008, and has been a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher since 2010. She has studied with many senior teachers and has spent time in India with Yogi Amandeep Singh in meditation and prayer at the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

Mandeep is certified in SuperHealth, Yogic Science for Addictive Behavior with Mukta Kaur Khalsa. Mandeep leads from her heart, uplifts everyone around her, and offers genuine and multi-dimensional support to her students. She is expressive, empathetic, intuitive, and attuned to those around her. 

Her love, passion and commitment to a daily practice of Kundalini yoga, in which she completed a 1000 day Sadhana, and Sikh Dharma have led to her authentic open heart from which to live and teach.

Gary Lachapelle

Gary Lachapelle 150wSifu Gary Lachapelle started training in 1988. After studying various styles of Kung Fu and Karate he became Master Maury's student in 2001. Beginning in 2002 he became an elite team member, key instructor, and is currently a chief instructor at Master Maury's Kung Fu Academy.

Sifu Gary has over 20 years of martial arts and 10 years of Tai Chi Chuan experience, and in 2006 received his 3rd level Black Sash.

In addition to teaching at Master Maury's Kung Fu Academy Sifu Gary teaches Tai Chi at local senior centers and retirement communities.

Annie Ollila

Annie Ollila 150wJoin in welcoming Annie to Opening Lotus Yoga!  She'll be teaching a new, all levels Vinyasa Flow class starting with a FREE class on April 6th, 6;15 - 7:25 pm.

Annie first discovered yoga as a recommendation to improve her horseback riding. She was told yoga would help with balance, core strength, hip flexibility and concentration. And she has found that yoga has done that and much more.

After being a student of Anne’s at Opening Lotus Yoga for over 8 years, Annie felt drawn to take a teacher training course. Annie attended the Nosara Yoga Institute in Nosara Costa Rica where she was trained in Nosara Yoga Vinyasa and Nosara Self Awakening Yoga Therapeutics.

Annie loves how yoga is a grounding element through many life transitions. She leads classes that are fun and enjoyable. Her intention is to help you feel energized and restored.

Marc Provencher

Marc Provencher 150wMarc has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. He came to yoga as a form of cross-training to compliment his regular running routine. Marc found that the centeredness and strength building in his yoga practice has been a positive influence in all aspects of life.

He earned his RYT 200 hr. certification studying with Johnny Gillespie of Empowered Yoga in Willmington DE and has studied with Seane Corn, Ala Khouri and many other wonderful teachers.

Marc looks forward to sharing a vigorous and fun vinyasa practice with the Opening Lotus Yoga community.

Brenna Miller

Brenna Miller- photo 150wBrenna Miller discovered her passion for body movement therapy through yoga in 2006. As an inspired yoga practitioner and student, she went onto experience and study multiple modalities of movement including earning her 500 hour Yoga certification in Hatha & Rasamaya Yoga, 50 hour Meridian Yoga certification, 64 hour Anatomy in Clay certification, Pilates Beginner through Advanced Mat certification, Pilates Beginner Apparatus certification, Pfilates (Pelvic Floor Pilates) certification, and Thai Body Work certification. She has taken minor trainings on Nutrition, MS and Breast Cancer and also works with cancer survivors through the LIVEStrong program at the YMCA.

Brenna embraces the knowledge that she has gained and enjoys sharing that with others knowing that a practical daily practice can heal and transform stress, trauma and fear into vitality, peace and joy. Brenna and her husband make their home in Holden.

Marcelle Monfredo

Marcelle Monfredo 150wMarcelle Monfredo, M.Ed., R.Y.T has been practicing yoga since becoming fascinated by its benefits in college. Opening Lotus Yoga provided a fabulous opportunity for Marcelle to develop her practice and meditation skills.

Marcelle deepened her study of yoga and its benefits by enrolling in 200 hour teacher training, and in 2011 graduated with certification in Raja Yoga from Frog Pond Yoga in Princeton, MA. The focal point of her practice is to help students ease the body, heighten the physical experience and forge a palpable connection to their inner existence through breath-work, solid asana foundation building, and the utilization of props. She enjoys helping others discover the joyful bliss that a strong yoga practice can bring into their lives.

Her lifelong desire to help others is best summed up in a quote from Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”.

Marcelle resides in Holden with her husband Ben and their 3 dogs.

Dalilah Rain

Dalilah Rain 150wDalilah Rain is thrilled to be sharing Kundalini Yoga at Opening Lotus! It is a practice that truly needs to be experienced! Embarking on a journey with Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan has been and continues to be the most precious part of Dalilah's life . It has given her a True connection to Life.

She will humbly share with all levels what as been so lovingly passed on to her. Dalilah is K.R.I. Certified in Kundalini Yoga, Conscious Pregnancy Prenatal Yoga and Women's Yogic Teachings.
